Trip, and you die, my china

Have you ever seen marching like this?

Scratch that.

Have you ever seen so many androids similar-looking people in one place?

Adolf Hitler would have been proud. But in a nationalist dump-those-commie-chinks-on-a-train-and-gas-them kind of way.

Meanwhile, Africa is moaning about European colonisation? There is a sleeping dragon right under our nose, my china.

Taxi industry to launch airline

When I read the news, yesterday, that the taxi industry is going to launch an airline (an airline?), I smiled. Look, it’s good that another local airline is taking off, because it’s evidence of economic growth, but the taxi industry’s involvement is funny no matter how you look at it.

THE South African National Taxi Council (Santaco), which represents about 95% of taxi operators , is launching a new airline it plans to list on the JSE. Santaco Express will be launched in November and based in Bhisho in the Eastern Cape. [Business Day]

Dial-up modem sound slowed down by 700%

I know one or two people who still use a dial-up modem. Actually, I do too, but only when the coffee table needs a lift under the one corner.

My point is that we all remember that archaic sound it makes when logging in.

But have you ever heard it slowed by, say, 700%? It’s pretty damn eerie. In fact, it’s probably best if you don’t listen to the following clip late at night. Alone. With the lights off. While it’s storming outside.

Police having a bad day? I think so.

I’d say that it’s a fail when law enforcement requires, well, law enforcement.
